Tell Governor Abbott to Veto SB 3
Help us Stop the Ban on Hemp-Derived Products
On May 21, 2025, the Texas House passed SB 3 — a near-total ban on consumable hemp products.
In a last-minute move, lawmakers introduced an amendment that reverted the bill back to its original, far-reaching ban — a version heavily influenced by Lt. Governor Dan Patrick.
The bill has passed all 3 readings in the House, and confirmed in the Senate. We are now calling on Governor Abbott for a veto.
SB 3 will decimate the Texas Hemp Industry. If passed, it will:
Ban legal hemp-derived products that Texans rely on
Wipe out 53,000 jobs and 8,000+ businesses
Kill $267 million in tax revenue and $2.1 billion in annual wages for Texans
Criminalize responsible adult users and medical users
Hand the market over to illegal, unregulated products, fueling the black market
Take away Texans’ right to choose natural alternatives to pharmaceuticals
