Our Code of Conduct
Membership at THBC means shared responsibility.
The Texas hemp industry doesn’t defend itself—we do.
The Texas Hemp Business Council is the only statewide advocacy organization fighting for the entire hemp industry—from farmers and manufacturers to retailers and consumers. Without THBC, much of this industry would not exist today. Membership directly funds the work that protects your business and ensures hemp has a future in Texas.
THBC members agree to adhere to the following Code of Conduct:
• Age gating of products (21 years of age and up)* with an active military duty exemption.
• Child resistant packaging.
• Advertising/marketing restrictions*, making it clear that the product is to be used responsibly by adults.
• Adherence to regulations enacted by the state of Texas under House Bill 1325 (2019) and are codified in the Texas Health and Safety Code, Chapter 443.
