Tell Lawmakers to Oppose the Ban on Legal Hemp

On March 3, 2025, the Texas Senate passed SB3, a bill that would ban all hemp-derived THC products. But it’s not law yet. The Texas House must still vote, and Governor Abbott must sign it before it becomes official.

We are also fighting HB28, a dangerous alternative that would ban everything but low-dose THC beverages and hand control to alcohol monopolies, limiting access and crushing competition.

Both bills will decimate the Texas Hemp Industry and we need your help. If passed, they will:

Ban legal hemp-derived products that Texans rely on
Wipe out 53,000 jobs and 8,000+ businesses
Kill $267 million in tax revenue and $2.1 billion in annual wages for Texans
Criminalize responsible adult users and medical users
Hand the market over to illegal, unregulated products, fueling the black market
Take away Texans’ right to choose natural alternatives to pharmaceuticals

Both bills are currently sitting with the State Affairs committee. It is important every member receives opposition for these bills so they understand a hemp ban is not what Texans want. Recent poll data shows a majority of all Texans (68%) want this industry to stay legal!
