Tell Lawmakers to Oppose the Ban on Legal Hemp

The Texas Hemp Business Council (THBC) was founded to unify and protect all parts of the hemp industry in Texas from growers and producers to retailers and consumers.

On June 22, 2025, Governor Abbott stood with Texans and vetoed SB 3 — a huge win for the hemp industry.

Now, a special legislative session has been called for July 21, 2025, and hemp is back on the table. Some lawmakers will likely try again to push a ban.

This is our moment to fight for fair, common-sense regulation. We need your voice to ensure your State Senator and Representative support smart policies that protect access, small businesses, and consumer choice.

If Another Ban Bill is Proposed it Will:

  • Wipe out 53,000 jobs and 8,000+ small businesses
  • Kill $267 million in tax revenue and $2.1 billion in annual wages for Texans
  • Criminalize responsible adult and medical users for possessing legal, federally-compliant products
  • Hand the market over to illegal, unregulated products, fueling the black market
  • Take away Texans’ right to choose natural alternatives to pharmaceuticals
